URGENT UPDATE FROM ROWAN TREE PRACTICE

During the outbreak of COVID-19 and to prevent the spread of infection, we have made further changes to our appointments booking system alongside our normal Duty Doctor Service.

This takes effect from lunchtime today 16.03.2020:

  1. All previous face-to-face appointments are still valid.  However, if you would prefer the appointment with the GP via telephone link – please call reception on 01932 505230 and inform us of the change. The GP will call the number listed on your records.
  2. We have reinstated the online booking facility for future appointments available to book from 30 March. Again, if you would prefer to hold this appointment via Telephone Link please write TELEPHONE APPOINTMENT in the booking notes.

Please be aware that the GPs occasionally run late. Therefore if your preference is a telephone appointment so please be advised that they will call you as close to the appointment as possible.
  3. If you are due to attend the surgery but have developed a high temperature (37.8C or higher) or have a new continuous cough.  PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY BUT REQUEST YOUR APPOINTMENT TO BE VIA TELEPHONE LINK. Please stay home and self-isolate for 7 days from the onset of your symptoms regardless of your travel history or contact with confirmed cases.

Please log on to NHS111 On-line https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid19 if you have serious symptoms that cannot be managed at home or have had no improvement of your symptoms after 7 days.  Only ring NHS111 if you cannot get online.  Please note a cough may persist for several weeks for some people.

During this difficult time, the safety of our Patients and Staff members is our highest priority. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak evolves, we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure this. We are closely monitoring updates in order to act quickly and following advice from the World Health Organisation, Public Health England and Surrey Heartlands CCG.

Rowan Tree Practice is currently operating as normal, with high safety measures being taken at our Surgery.  Cleanliness remains of utmost importance therefore please do not visit the practice is you feel unwell with a high temperature (37.8C or higher) or have a new continuous cough.  Please stay home and self-isolate for 7 days from the onset of your symptoms regardless of your travel history or contact with confirmed cases.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY OR GO TO A&E.
