Change of Practice name to Rowan Tree Practice Posted on 18 May 2015

Having ably led the practice for 16 years Dr de Sousa decided In January that he should stand down as senior partner, mainly due to his semi-retirement in 2014 when he reduced his days to 2 per week.

We are please to announce that Dr Jakubowski is the new senior partner and so a change of name is appropriate. Dr Jakubowski suggested that the new partnership name should be a generic title so we don't have to go through a similar process when he decides to stand down.

A competition was arranged for staff to come up with a suitable name and Rowan Tree Practice, chosen by Carol de Sousa (Dr de Sousa's wife and yes it was above board) was successful. Carol was presented with a very small Rowan Tree which has been planted in the de Sousa garden.

Why Rowan Tree Practice? When you enter the main car park to the Primary Care Centre there are a number of RowanTrees.

We are still in the process of changing the name as there are so many parties to advise and documents to be amended so you may see both names appearing in the foreseeable future.
