IMPORTANT INFORMATION

INTERIM ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE ROWAN TREE PRACTICE

Please see the notice on the home page of the website for up to date information regarding the interim arrangements since the fire at the practice.

When you arrive for your appointment, please "check in" using the touchscreen at reception and watch for your name to appear on the illuminated board or listen for your name to be called over the loudspeaker. It is essential you let us know, as soon as you can, if you are unable to keep your appointment, as failure to do so may render you liable to being removed from our patient list.

The practice co-operates with local medical schools in the teaching of undergraduate medical students by giving them practical experience in general practice. A student will sometimes accompany one of the doctors and you will be advised of this at the reception desk. You may ask that the student does not remain present during your consultation.

We also offer a limited number of pre-bookable GP extended hours appointments, the times of which vary on a weekly basis and range from 07.00 - 08.00, 18.30 - 20.00 and occasional Saturday mornings 09.00 - 12 noon. During these times the surgery is not open so when you turn up for your appointment follow the instructions by the signing-in screen in the waiting room.

Out Of Hours Care

When we are closed, if you have a medical problem which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please dial 111, unless the time of your call is between 08.00 and 08.30, Mondays to Fridays, excluding bank holidays, when you should telephone 01932 826039.

Dial 111 to access the NHS 111 service; it is free to call from both landlines and mobiles. You will be directed to the service that is best able to meet your needs, taking into account your location, the time of day you are calling and the capacity of local services.

If your situation is life-threatening you should dial 999.
