How can you order repeat prescriptions?
You can only request a repeat prescription if you have been prescribed this medication for long term use by a medical practitioner. You will not be able to order medication which you have had previously but have not agreed long term use with your practitioner.
- Requests must be in writing or via the online services (i.e. NHS app).
- If you would like your prescription to be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy please specify the pharmacy in your request.
Please make sure you allow sufficient time for the prescription to be prepared; this can take two working days from when we receive your request.
Please remember that if you are ordering your repeat prescription early to include the reason why, otherwise it may not be issued.

Try the NHS App
You can use the new NHS App, as a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.
Use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more.
If you already use online access for your prescriptions you can continue to use it, or try the NHS App as well.
